An update from our 2018 Wainuiomata High School exchange student:
After returning to New Zealand, I have been spending my time with friends and family and sharing what I've learned and experienced from the 3 months I stayed in Fukuoka.
It has been great to be back at school as well! In fact, as the year comes to an end, I've been thinking a lot about my subjects for next year. One of them will definitely be Japanese so I can continue to improve and hopefully visit Japan again one day! I have also decided to take drama class, so I can work towards an acting career.
In the meantime, I look forward to what the upcoming years have installed for me. I hope to come back to Japan soon though, as I miss everyone so so so much! Glad to be able to call Japan a second home.
Also, yesterday I had my school prizegiving and I won an excellence merit award, a top academic award, the top junior art award and the junior languages award!
